Falcon on the move . . . Michael Thomas
Michael Thomas, a rising senior majoring in biology from Landover, Md., is participating in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry 2014 Summer Research Program at the University of Arkansas. The 10-week summer program allows undergraduate biology or chemistry majors to carry out research in a chosen area of their choice.
Thomas’ research for the summer will be in biochemistry and protein dynamics. He will present the results of his summer project at the conclusion of the program. During the course of the program, participants will visit the National Center for Toxicological Research or the Future Fuel Chemical Company in Batesville, Ark. Furthermore, Thomas will also receive a stipend and allowance to attend national or regional conferences to present my research.
