Congratulations Dr. Jefferson!
Dr. Lynne T. Jefferson, associate professor and chair of the Department of English, has been appointed as a Faculty Research Fellow to carry out research for enhancing the writing program at Saint Augustine’s University.
Dr. Yvonne Coston, vice president for Research and Innovative Programming, is excited about the appointment of Dr. Jefferson as a Faculty Research Fellow. According to Coston, the heart of the Fellows Program is the notion of growing a core of faculty who engage in scholarly research from across disciplines.
“This program will ultimately improve the research infrastructure at the University and tangibly lead to the development of more fundable grant proposals,” Coston said. “Dr. Jefferson will be provided release time during the academic year with possible financial support during the summer to work on her project. Her work will be done on developing the SAU Writing Program: “A Toolbox for Student Success.”
Jefferson will work through the Center of Excellence for Teaching, Research and Leadership to carry out her research project.
